The First Peoples Education Council

he First Peoples Education Council (FPEC) is distributing four scholarships of $1,000 each. There will be one student chosen from each secondary school in the district: Desert Sands Community School, David Stoddart School, Kumsheen ShchEma-meet School, and Lillooet Secondary School.

The following criteria is used when choosing the successful applicants:

  1. Student identifies as Indigenous, Métis or Inuit ancestry;
  2. Grade 12 student graduating with BC Dogwood Diploma, BC Adult Dogwood Diploma or Evergreen Certificate; and
  3. Attending post-secondary education (attach acceptance letter).
