St’át’imc Education Institute

LTC Education provides services for participating community members as required.  LTC is responsible for Administering/coordinating education programs as per federal government funding policy.

As part of the education services the development of the St’át’imc Education Institute was established to provide service to participating communities with the delivery of education program courses that is engaged through a partnership with post-secondary institutes.  St’át’imc Education Institute is wholly owned and operated by the Lillooet Tribal Council.

The St’át’imc Education Authority (SEA) was established in 1996 under the direction by LTC Chiefs.  See the link below for the SEA Terms of Reference, Goals and plan of action.


St’át’imc Education Institute

In 2021 the Lillooet Tribal Council (LTC) Chiefs approved the creation of the St’át’imc Education Institute (SEI) as a corporation under the BC Corporations Act for the purposes of providing various post-secondary education programs. The Northern St’át’imc communities have recently created the SEI as a corporation. The SEI will have a Board of Directors (BoD) that is responsible for providing leadership to this organization.
