Local Firefighting Crews: How to get started & Fundamentals of Burning

Lillooet Tribal Council and Lillooet Fire Zone will be hosting a 30 to 60 minute meet and greet with the local BCWS Fire Zone, Verne Rasmussen, Justin Rommel and George Campbell, to talk and learn more about putting together your own community Fire Fighting crews. Learn about the difference between local crews and type 2 “contract” crews, the tools equipment, and any contracts that are required.

Also, because we missed it in the BCWS Spring Preparedness meeting (on March 16, 2022), we wanted to allow for George Campbell to speak to backyard and community burning, burn plans, and why annual burning is necessary.
