Certificate (Introductory Program):
Focus: Listening and speaking fluency (reading and writing will be introduced later).
Curriculum: Includes Introduction to Writing St’át’imcets and two academic writing courses to prepare
for the Diploma program.
Admission & Tuition
Eligibility: Applicants are members of one of the five participating Northern St’át’imc bands
(Sekw’el’was, Tsal’alh, Xwisten, Xaxli’p, Ts’kw’aylaxw).

Tuition Information:
Only members of these five bands are exempt from paying tuition for the Certificate program.
Applicants from other bands, even if Northern St’áť’imc, will be required to pay tuition for the
Certificate program ($300.00 per 3 credit course).
Tuition fees apply to all students continuing from the Certificate to the Diploma program
($300.00 per 3 credit course).
