Salmon Delivered to Two Communities!

St’át’imc Outreach Heath Services (SOHS) Land Based Healing and Cultural Wellness helped out two communities with delivering fresh salmon that was caught at the Fraser river! They put their efforts into acquiring what salmon they could catch and bring to those in the two communities. This initiative arose when some community members could not make it to the river.

The two communities that received the salmon were Tsal’alh and Ts’kw’aylaxw First Nation! In total there was 120 salmon caught and delivered fresh!

We were so pleased to hear that people received 3-4 each for canning!

We would like to give a big thank-you to all who helped out!

Linda McDonald, Land Based Healing Coordinator
