PROJECT SUMMARY
This is a full-time permanent position. This non-clinical position is responsible for the delivery of the St’át’imc Outreach Health Services (SOHS) Drug and Alcohol Peer Support Program by working collaboratively with clients, co-workers and the community to help clients who are struggling with addictions to navigate the health and social services systems. The Peer Support Worker works directly with clients to provide information and connect them with services. The incumbent acts as a coach/ mentor, and helps clients set goals and develop skills. The Peer Support Worker uses their own life experiences to build supportive relationships that are defined by the client and their needs.
